About the Event
Learn the fundamentals of equine hoof anatomy and take a little mystery out of hoof boots! Our Seminar includes:
PART 1: Basic Anatomy - we'll review the parts, functions and growth of the equine hoof. Study will include hands on elements with cadaver feet and live horses.
PART 2: Hoof Boots - a presentation of how and why you might use hoof boots, challenges with fitting and demonstrate various boot products that are on the market.
PART 3: Sport Application - special emphasis on how to use these products for trail riding, trail driving and competitive distance equestrian sports (endurance, competitive trail, distance driving, ride & tie, etc.).
Presented by Carla Peters - barefoot trimmer - and co-hosted by Fox Valley Distance Equestrian Team. Carla is a fitter and distributor of the EasyCare line of hoof boots. Other brands that will be available for you to view include Scoot Boots, Flex Boots, Evo Boots and Renegades. Cost: $50.00
