Ride With Max

If you've ever been curious about distance riding or wanted to enter a Novice ride - here's your big chance. FVDET is teaming up with UMECRA legend Maxine Bernsdorf. She's got nearly 20,000 competition miles and 85 years of life experience, and a 23-year-old, one-eyed horse named Andy.  Come learn "Max's rules of novice riding" during the Bonecrusher Endurance Ride  - Saturday, July 29th, 2023. 

Please enter the Novice ride using the instructions found here on the flyer, and then RSVP using this event page so that we know to expect you for this educational experience happening at Horseriders Campground, Palmyra, WI (South Kettle).

The Novice ride is scheduled to begin at noon (subject to change, weather and conditions permitting). Prior to the Novice start time, we will set aside time to have all interested attend the educational lecture to learn "Max's rules of novice riding". Those registered for the Novice ride will get to head out on trail apply their learning immediately during the 12-mile ride. Even if you aren't planning on riding the event, you may still join us to learn.

For safety when we head out on trail, we will divide into smaller groups to complete the 12-mile ride. Some lucky riders will even get to do that whole ride with Max!
